What is Counselling?
Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental, empowering space, in which you are able to address aspects of your life which are challenging.
It is different from confiding in a friend or family member, as a counsellor can take an objective view of how you deal with issues without personal bias getting in the way.
I work primarily to facilitate clients in looking at themselves holisitcally, that is, in context of their family, work, friends, health etc.
Together we then look at how the issues that have brought them to counselling, affect these aspects of their lives.
Finally we work together to alter unhelpful thoughts and patterns of behaviour, in order to bring about lasting change.
